WASHINGTON BRICKS

Collection of Marked Washington Bricks

The bricks in this collection have markings purposely placed on the brick by the manufacturer. The markings may represent the name of the brickmaker, brick company, initials of the brickmaker, brand name, initials of the process, initials of destination, name of destination, use, size, type, logo, or graphics. Slant marks "/" indicate line breaks in the name. Brackets, such as [star], indicate graphics. Parentheses, such as (fire) or (paver), enclose comments to help differentiate similar brick names in the index. Click on the brick name to see pictures and information on the brick page. On the brick page, the known dates of the brick marks are given in the "Years Brick Made" field. The operating start and end dates of the brickyard are in the "Operating Years" field. The year shown in parentheses after the company name is the startup year for multiple companies operating a brickyard. For additional information about the brick and brick company, be sure to click on the Brickmakers link to see any additional marking variations for the brick of interest that are not listed on this page. Unmarked bricks are also referred to the Brickmakers link.
